Evolution is technically defined as: “a gradual process in which something changes into a different and usually more complex or better form.” As it is most famously used, “evolution” is the process by which an organism becomes more sophisticated over time and in response to its environment. The Theory of Evolution is currently the most popular concept of how life reached its current state. Evolution as a biological mechanism is driven by natural selection. This theory is favored by many scientists to explain phenomena in nature, so much so that it is generally assumed as factual in most studies.

I think about evolution at times, I remember once a conversation about our food with the many pesticides drugs and hormones that it is being treated with and thinking well this is what is out there and our bodies will adapt to survive in the long run, it is almost like we are in a process of a testing stage, especially with the new genetically modified food. But I no longer think this, I think if this way continues that yes, we will eventually adapt, but I wonder what our bodies will become like and to me they will not be natural at all.

  1. It is an interesting thought to consider how are bodies may change in oreder to adapt. Think about the appendix, I am sure at one point in evolution, it too served a greater purpose.
