A bird tree

03/19/2008

There is a tree in the backyard that I have yet to figure out what kind it is. In the spring it flowers, beautiful red and white flowers, that turn green in the summer. It has little red berries on it all through the summer and winter and I have been noticing just how full of these berries it was. This spring was the first I have ever seen this many birds drawn to it. I am wondering if it is because of all the snow on the ground still, and I am hoping that the robin in the last picture is just full of food and not pregnant as yet, or if she is, that a nest is near. I noticed at least three different types of birds as well, all sharing the berries on the tree :)

A little painting I came across when cleaning out a closet, I had forgotten about this, my mother had given it to me when I moved away from home.  I think I was 11 at the time I painted it but I remember so well how very proud I was of it:) When I look at it now, it still reminds me of spring.

Fossils

I was sitting outside the other day when it was sunny, thinking to get vitaman D and when I looked down, I noticed something in the melting of the snow. I thought it looked like a little fossil, which got me thinking about the ice age, and then came across this article.

it made me think about the Age of Aquarius as well, and so came across this article. :)

is here, but I do think it will be the last one of this winter.

I am going to take time now to clear up what I have been wishing to do for a while, and that is to minimalize my surroundings, to give away, or recycle things that have not been used in the last two years, to go through every room this way, every little corner, every closet, every cupboard, every piece of clothing, paper, pictures, cd’s, books, furniture, rugs, linen, old toys, so that in two or three months time, I will no longer be wishing, I wish I had have done this before the warm weather came. I will imagine myself moving:). The length of this picture (which I have just noticed how long it is!) most likely reflects how long it will take, a little long but not too long, or so I hope.
